Inspiring people of all ages to take an interest in the Arts and in our church building is an important part of our Festival.

There will be a series of activities designed specifically for our local primary schools. Pupils will be able to:

  • explore the bell tower and receive instruction as to how bells are rung (and some will hopefully get a chance to try themselves)
  • go up to the Parvise, through an excitingly narrow passage way to receive an educational session from another era
  • discover the many brasses throughout the church, and carry out brass rubbings
  • find some of the hidden treasures throughout the church – many unnoticed by visitors, villagers and parishioners alike.

There will also be activities that lead up to the Reading to be given by CarolAnn Duffy on 26 September 2015.
